Here's my '65 C10 on the U-Haul trailer as I hauled it home from Wisconsin to Illinois. Previous owner said he found it in Missouri originally. It runs great. The seller had done an amazing job getting it operational and had plans for a total restoration on it. I only trailered it because I went alone,... and well,... I kinda find the manual drum brakes, the non-power steering with a badly worn steering gear a tad scary to bring it the 4 hour trip home too!
Yes, it IS clean and very straight. There are a few spots that need some attention.... some rusting floor areas starting to show light through, lower areas of front fenders show a previous patch job, a few dings and dents here and there, but nothing terrible. The more I looked it over the more excited I became about getting started on it.
It has a straight six cylinder engine and a three-on-the tree manual transmission. As I said, the previous owner (PO) did a fantastic job getting it going again. The engine started right up and runs strong Everything worked great and I was happy to make the purchase at a price we both thought reasonable.
